Do tanning beds really dry hair at this point?

I colored my hair about 8-12 weeks, wearing a shower cap when I went tanning to prevent color fading. I am sick of the color and have tried everything to fade! A not only weakened, but it is Drying too fast! I wash in hottest water you can stand up and not wear a bathing cap when I go tanning. Is the tanning bed is dry hair, or is hot water or a combination of both? I wash my hair every day that I know is bad for him. I use John Frieda Shampoo Sammy Salon and conditioner that is organic. What am I doing wrong? I know it was something shiny and smooth a few weeks ago, just before the shower to stop using a tanning CAP.
